Welcome to Fiddle ‘n’ Feet

Appalachian Dance Team
Shipley, West Yorkshire

Fiddle ‘n’ Feet, a mixed Appalachian dance team, was formed over 15 years ago.  We currently practice in Shipley, West Yorkshire.

Our dancing is lively and energetic and our performances are often praised at festivals and events.  We choreograph our own dances and perform with musicians who play old-time and bluegrass fiddle tunes.

Fiddle ‘n’ Feet have gained a reputation for delivering the true energy of the traditional Appalachian dance by bringing dancing and music direct from the Appalachian mountains of America.

Appalachian dance is sometimes referred to as American Old Time music and dance because of the energy of the performance and the foot tapping style of music.

Musicians Workshop

THURSDAY, 19TH OCTOBER 2017 7.15pm to 8.45pm
Northcliffe Church Hall, Hall Royd, Shipley, West Yorkshire BD18 3ED

We are holding a Musicians Workshop as we are currently looking to recruit fiddle players, guitarists and musicians who play other instruments which complement Bluegrass and Appalachian-type tunes.

Experience of playing Appalachian music is not essential but musicians must be competent players.
